This Protein Chia Bowl is one of those breakfasts that makes busy mornings feel a whole lot easier. You mix everything together ahead of time, let the chia seeds work their magic in the refrigerator, and come morning, breakfast is ready for you.
I especially love the combination of chia seeds, protein powder, collagen peptides, berries, and nuts because it gives this bowl plenty of texture and staying power. The cinnamon and vanilla add warmth and flavor without making the recipe complicated, while fresh berries bring natural sweetness and a beautiful pop of color.
Make one serving for tomorrow morning or prep a few at once to help make breakfast easier throughout the week.

Prep Time: 5 minutes
Cook Time: 2–4 hours or overnight
Total Time: 2 hours 5 minutes minimum
Servings: 1
Ingredients:
- 2 tablespoons chia seeds
- 1 scoop protein powder
- 1 scoop collagen peptides
- 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Small pinch sea salt
- 1 cup unsweetened almond, coconut, or oat milk

- 2 tablespoons chopped walnuts or almonds
Instructions:
- In a bowl or jar, whisk together the milk, protein powder, collagen peptides, cinnamon, vanilla, and sea salt until smooth.
- Stir in the chia seeds, making sure they are evenly distributed and aren’t clumping together.
- Cover and refrigerate for at least 2–4 hours or overnight, until the mixture has thickened to a pudding-like consistency.
- Before serving, stir the chia mixture well. If it has become thicker than you prefer, add a small splash of milk and stir again until it reaches your desired consistency.
- Top with the berries and chopped walnuts or almonds. Enjoy!
Recipe Notes:
- Make it ahead: This recipe is designed for easy prep. Make 2–3 servings at once and store them covered in the refrigerator for up to 4 days.
- Wait to add the toppings: For the best texture, keep the berries and chopped nuts separate and add them just before serving.
- Choose your milk: Unsweetened almond, coconut, or oat milk all work well. Keep in mind that the type of milk you choose will slightly change the flavor and consistency.
- Protein powder matters: Different protein powders absorb liquid differently. If your chia bowl becomes especially thick, simply stir in a splash of additional milk before serving.
- Choose your berries: The original recipe calls for strawberries, blackberries, or raspberries. You can use one variety or a combination.
- Choose your nuts: Walnuts and almonds both add a satisfying crunch. Chop them just before serving if you want the freshest texture.
