This Dairy-Free Matcha Latte is creamy, smooth, and packed with antioxidants for calm, focused energy. Made with non-dairy milk and lightly sweetened, itβs a gluten-free drink that makes mornings feel grounded and energized.
***All of my recipes are gluten-free, dairy-free, blood sugar-friendly, and gut-supportive. We are all different so you may need to make adjustments based on your body’s unique needs.***
Ingredients:
- 1 tsp high-quality matcha powder
- 2 tsp hot water
- 3/4 cup unsweetened almond milk (or oat, coconut, or cashew milk)
- 1β2 tsp honey or maple syrup (optional, to taste)
- Optional: 1/4 tsp vanilla extract or a sprinkle of cinnamon
Instructions:
- In a small bowl, sift matcha powder to remove clumps.
- Add hot water and whisk with a bamboo whisk (or small whisk/frother) until smooth and frothy.
- In a small saucepan, warm almond milk over medium heat until steaming. Froth with a handheld frother if desired.
- Pour the milk into a mug, then gently add the whisked matcha. Stir to combine.
- Sweeten with honey or maple syrup to taste, and add optional vanilla or cinnamon for flavor.
Recipe Notes:
- Use ceremonial grade matcha for the best flavor and antioxidant benefits.
- Try adding a scoop of collagen peptides for gut and skin support.
- For an iced version, whisk matcha with water, then pour over ice and add cold almond milk.
