A plate of banana chocolate chip oat cookies on parchment paper with scattered oats and chocolate chips.

These Banana Chocolate Chip Oaties are made with just a few pantry staples and are naturally sweetened with ripe bananas. They’re perfect for those moments when you want a little something sweet but still nourishing — and yes, they’re gluten-free, dairy-free, and kid-approved.

***All of my recipes are gluten-free, dairy-free, blood sugar-friendly, and gut-supportive. We are all different so you may need to make adjustments based on your body’s unique needs.***

Ingredients:

  • 2 ripe mashed bananas
  • 1 cup gluten-free oats
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • ½–1 cup chocolate chips
  • Optional: 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F.
  2. In a bowl, add mashed bananas, oats, and cinnamon. Mix well to combine. Fold in chocolate chips.
  3. Using a tablespoon, scoop mixture into heaping tablespoons onto a greased baking sheet (makes about 15 oaties). Bake in the preheated oven for 20 minutes.
  4. Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator or pantry for 3–5 days.

Recipe Notes:

  1. Make sure to use certified gluten-free oats if you’re avoiding gluten.
  2. Try swapping chocolate chips for dried cranberries or chopped nuts for a fun twist.
