This chunky guacamole comes together in minutes using fresh, clean ingredients—avocado, tomato, lime, and herbs—for a vibrant, satisfying snack or topping.

***All of my recipes are gluten-free, dairy-free, blood sugar-friendly, and gut-supportive. We are all different so you may need to make adjustments based on your body’s unique needs.***

Ingredients:

  • 2 ripe Hass avocados
  • Juice of 1 lime
  • 1 jalapeño or serrano pepper, minced (remove seeds for less heat)
  • ½ small red or white onion, minced
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 Roma tomato, seeded and chopped
  • 2 tablespoons cilantro, chopped
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions:

  1. Scoop out the avocados into a medium bowl or molcajete, removing the pits.
  2. Squeeze lime juice over the avocados, then mash roughly with a fork.
  3. Add all remaining ingredients and stir gently with a fork to combine.
  4. Taste and adjust seasoning. Serve immediately.

Recipe Notes:

  1. To reduce heat, skip the pepper or remove all seeds.
  2. For a smoother guac, mash avocados more thoroughly before adding other ingredients.
  3. This is best served fresh, but you can store it in an airtight container with plastic wrap pressed against the surface for up to 1 day.
